About the Chorus The Harmonizers are a men's chorus from the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti, Michigan area focused primarily on Barbershop 4-part harmony. We are members of the Pioneer District (Michigan and Southern Ontario) of the Barbershop Harmony Society (also known as the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America - SPEBSQSA - the largest men's singing organization in the world. We are very proud and honored to be the Pioneer District 2003 Chorus Champions! We are happy to welcome our new Musical Director Paul Hanson. What We Do We have a solid foundation, with a strong musical and administrative plan; skilled, collaborative and involved musical and administrative teams; and a membership of committed men who love to sing four part harmony in the barbershop style. We are enjoying the benefits of strong fellowship and team spirit. And are we having fun? We are having the time of our lives! We welcome visitors and new members, teaching the vocal skills and performance techniques needed to sing a cappella harmony in the barbershop style. We meet every Tuesday night at the Stony Creek United Methodist Church. For more information, please check out our Rehearsals page. Our mission also includes a focus on service to the community and youth outreach, providing gift performances to senior citizens and educational sessions to teens throughout the year. |
