As highlighted in the Harmonizer’s article, the Huron Valley Harmonizers provide a wide range of opportunities for members to engage in singing and develop their musical skills.
One such opportunity is VLQs (Very Large Quartets). While the name may seem like a misnomer, these smaller ensembles offer singers the chance to rehearse in a focused setting, explore a broader repertoire, and receive more individualized guidance to support their musical growth.
VLQs serve as an excellent introduction to singing in four-part harmony, allowing participants to build confidence and refine their skills in a supportive, low-pressure environment—without the added expectations often associated with traditional quartets.
